Horseshoe Snake
This variety of snake stands out for having a stylized shape. Its head is pointed and can be easily differentiated with the rest of the body. The size of this type of snake is usually large, thanks to the fact that it has a trunk and a really long tail. This means that the size of it can be one metre or more. Despite its size, it is a very agile snake when climbing trees and bushes. Thanks to this, it can obtain food and reach prey that it would not otherwise be able to get. The colour of the snake is usually yellow with black spots. On the other hand, it is worth noting the spot on the horseshoe-shaped part of the head, which gives the species its name. The main diet of this snake is usually formed by little lizards, snakes of a smaller size than yours, mice or shrews. They can also eat eggs or even poultry. Knowing the sex of the snake is very complicated, because at first glance the male as the female are equal. The only visible difference may be the size. Normally the male is usually somewhat larger than the females. The heat period usually takes place during the months of May and June, the gestation period is usually one month. After a month, she looks for a suitable place to lay her eggs. Usually she bets on the humid and sunny areas. Each clutch usually has a number of 4 to 10 eggs. These eggs are notable for not being very large because they are about 6 cm long and are usually bound together by a sticky liquid. Once the eggs have been laid, they incubate for about 2 months. Snakes are about 20 cm in size when they hatch. This variety of snake always lives in places with good temperatures, open vegetation and rocky elements for hiding and resting. They are not poisonous.
