Black Bass

Native to North America is a carnivorous fish. Although it eats fish, its diet can vary according to its environment and it can eat frogs, crabs, mice, moles, snakes, leeches or even young birds. It was introduced in Spain in the 20th century. It is one of the most sporty species for its combativeness, voracity and can be fished by countless fishing techniques. It measures from 30 to 35 cms and usually weighs no more than 3 kg. The best period of the year to do this sport is during the spring and summer months.
