FISH
Carpine
This fish usually measures between 20 and 35 cms, maximum around 40 cms and weighs approximately 1 kg, rarely exceeds 2 kgs. It feeds on benthic invertebrates, insects and plant material. Carpine has been introduced into many waters, both intentionally and accidentally, as bait fish. The capture of carpines is more likely from the first heats of spring until the breeding season (in May) and then until the beginning of autumn.
